About Cortina

Cortina is a Dutch brand by Kruitbosch, known for designing stylish city bikes and family bikes. As the company expanded across European markets, it needed a digital experience that could support both brand storytelling and product discovery.

The challenge

Cortina needed to move away from a traditional CMS to a more flexible, future-proof solution. At the same time, the new platform had to remain easy to use for the content and marketing team, ensuring they could manage updates independently.

Another key requirement was integrating product data from external APIs, so the website could display up-to-date product information alongside content managed visually by the marketing team, within a consistent design system.

We were looking for a CMS that was user-friendly for content editors and easy to implement for developers. With React Bricks, we satisfied both requirements.

Discovery and decision

Cortina selected React Bricks as a solution that could combine developer flexibility with ease of use for content editors. The ability to build a fully custom frontend with React and Next.js, while offering a visual editing experience, made it possible to align the needs of both teams.

This balance was essential to support ongoing content updates without slowing down development or compromising design quality.

Implementation

The implementation combined data from multiple external APIs with a custom Next.js frontend built using React Bricks. This approach allowed Cortina to dynamically display product information while maintaining full control over layout and presentation in React.

At the same time, content editors could manage pages visually, ensuring that updates remained fast and consistent without requiring developer intervention.

React Bricks gave us the flexibility to handle complex requirements while keeping the editing experience simple. This allowed us to move faster and deliver a better product.

The marketing team can now manage content independently, making it easier to update the site across markets without relying on developers.
